Kaspersky says to equip electric car Atom with anti-hacker firewall

MOSCOW, May 12 (PRIME) -- Russian antivirus maker Kaspersky will equip electric car Atom with protection against hacking and remote attacks via a new firewall, the company said late on Thursday in a statement.

“The IT company integrated its solution, firewall Kaspersky Automotive Secure Gateway (KASG) based on operating system Kaspersky OS into the car,” the company said.

At the first stage, KASG will protect the car from hacking, update software, and monitor events, but the company will work further and improve it till 2025. Kaspersky wants to add, among others, an option of remote diagnostics of the car in the future.
